Salt & Straw gets into the holiday spirit
Salt & Straw is unveiling its Thanksgiving-themed ice cream flavors today, available through the end of November at all Bay Area locations: sweet potato casserole with maple pecans; roasted cranberry sauce sorbet; salted caramel Thanksgiving turkey; spiced goat cheese with pumpkin pie; and roasted peach-sage cornbread stuffing. The holidays have never tasted so sweet. Meanwhile, as Salt & Straw gears up to open a scoop shop in Palo Alto, the West Coast ice cream powerhouse is collaborating with Tacolicious Palo Alto to give Silicon Valley a sneak preview. You’ll be able to grab Salt & Straw’s popular sea salt caramel ribbons ice cream and Sightglass Coffee cashew praline ice cream with a Tacolicious mini churro for $2 on Sunday, November 4 (5 to 7 p.m.), Sunday, November 11 (6 to 8 p.m.), and Sunday, November 18 (6 to 8 p.m.).

Lunch from Son’s Addition?
Kind of. The bustling Mission restaurant is only open on weekdays for dinner, but starting today, it’s offering weekday lunch via Caviar delivery. The menu includes small plates, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and grain bowls. Think along the lines of grilled steak on a farro bowl with greens, pickled peppers, and spicy lime vinaigrette, or a fried chicken sandwich with slaw, umami aioli, and spicy pickles.
