Whales share songs from other oceans. Singing humpback whales from different ocean basins seem to be picking up musical ideas from afar, and incorporating these new phrases and themes into their songs.

I don’t prac-tice Se-ta-ce-an; I don’t float a kryll shrimp ball;

If I had a baileen toothbrush, well I’d; I’d scrape them all

If I could find Beluga and that Orca that she found

I’d spray my mist at Orca and slap her taaaaaail down

But I really have to blow (my baileen)

and I really gotta spray

my breath tonight

It’s Blub-ber I nee ee eeed yeah

Blow hole will have to wait until At-laska I am home all by my own

Humpback’s gonna row through the sole

I feel the break feel the break feeel the break and I got to bubble out

Yeah uh huh ….
